I have always said that every season is a new adventure. This season was certainly no exception. For those of you who completed their first century congratulations!! To all of the rest of you who in some way made it possible for those new riders to complete their century Thank You!! To everyone that made the FCF another event we can be proud of Thank You!!
Please bring your family and friends to my house on Sunday at noon. We will have some food and plenty of liquid refreshment as we recount the past season. If it is as hot as predicted my pool may be warm enough to at least soak your feet. Bring your suit if you want to find out how shade trees around a pool affect water tempature. We will hand out a few awards and share memories of the season. This is a great opportunity to bring that friend you have been trying to get to join the team so he can see Bob and Jonna when their people skills are at their finest. Please RSVP with a head count to the forum if you can so I can make sure I have enough bananas;)
If you have pictures from this season and would like to share them with the group on Sunday, please put them on a disk and let me know where I can get them by Wed. We will be putting together a slide show to play on Sunday.
I would really like to thank Bob and Jonna for picking up the slack I left this season. They really did a great job making sure everyone was trained and ready for their century.
If you have a loaner bike or know someone with a loaner bike bring it on Sunday. If you are not going to make it on Sunday please bring it to my shop, my house or Tri Sport.
Please finish your fundraising and get the money in that is after all what this group is all about.
Lastly I would like to thank Scott for allowing me to captain the triple for him and Sue. I have ridden the triple on many rides, none as personally fulfilling as Saturday’s ride. To be able to be a part of what Scott has shared with us this season is a real blessing and makes me remember why I like cycling. I have never been around someone who has a better attitude than Scott. When we encountered a shifting problem on Broken Bridge and had to stop to make some adjustments, we were trying to figure out how to get restarted. Scott says “just get on I’ll get us up the hill”. So we did and he did. Toward the end of the ride Scott says “I don’t believe in having anything left at the end of the ride.” He put in a huge effort to see that we made it back to the park. Now that I know he doesn't mind riding with us I won't ask Sue to tie him to the bike.
Kathy thanks for sharing your husband with us. Scott, anytime you want to get out on the Triple I’ll drive, just call Sue and tell her to bring her bag of tricks. God Bless you and your family I know that by getting to know you I have been blessed. Tell your dad thanks for the picture! See you Sunday!
