CVCCA - Parker's Team

Alumni it is time!!!!  As members of CVCCA we have agreed to participate in group fundraising events instead of individual fundraising every year and the time to do so is upon us.

We will be starting Volunteer Season with a Fireworks Stand.

Our Fireworks Stand will be located on Herndon just East of Clovis Ave on the North side of Herndon between the McDonald's and the Carl's Jr.

Stand Hours of Operation:

June 28th - 3:00 to 10:00 pm (Need to confirm the opening time)

June 29th to July 3rd - 10:00am to 10:00pm

July 4th  - 10:00am to ????.    We would like everyone to enjoy time with their families that day so we will be closing at an earlier time.  I will confirm closing time with the committee and get back to you on that. 

All the fireworks have to be removed from the stand nightly so a couple of people will need to be there at 9:45 to unload the fireworks from the trailer back into the stand and a couple of people will need to stay until 10:20ish to load the trailer. 

So the point of all of this is we need Volunteers to man the Fireworks Stand!!!!

Please post here what Dates and times you can work.  It would be best to do 4 hour shifts but if you can give two hours at a stretch we would still love you have you.  There is one RULE that is not negotiable - Children under 18 can not be in the Firework Stand. (This rule was not set by us).

Thanks to everyone so far that has volunteered to work the CVCCA Team Fireworks booth located on the North/east corners of Clovis and Herndon Aves. We still need a lot more of you to volunteer and spend a little time working selling fireworks at the booth. Its only for 1 week, and its going to take a lot of people to pull this thing off. On top of that its really a lot of fun!

One other very important thing, is that we are going to be moving Script for the fireworks stand. I am in need of 8 -10 people whom would help me with the Script Ticket distribution. Its real easy, and we'll have fun together!                                                                                         Please respond here or call me ASAP and I'll give you the simple details, as this needs to happen right away.

I'm back from vacation now. I can work at the booth a couple of shifts but haven't had time to figure it out  which days. I know I can't work the 4th. Except the 4th which days do you hve the most need?  Maybe I can get some extra help if needed.

Pat right now we need as much help as we can get so just let me know what days and times work best for you.

Right now I would like to get as many team members involved before we go to outside help.  I appreciate the offer and will get back to you if I need to take you up on that.

I can work 10-2 on June 29th. I may have other dates available. I'll know more as the time approaches.

Lets keep it coming, as Denyse still needs a lot more volunteers to work the new team Fireworks booth for the week of June 28 th to July 4 th.    For all of those working the booth, Tuxedo Dan's gonna have a special treat, in the way of food, water and fun after the help is counted up!
