The old website wouldnt allow that either! You have a couple of options...
- One of the two spouses can get a new email address. There are many free email providers, and some have fewer ads and intrusions than others. gmail is rather ad-free, and has really good anti-spam features. hotmail and yahoo are also big providers. Most email providers have a feature where you can automatically forward any incoming mail to another email address. so, set up a new address and automatically forward its mail to your shared email account.
- you can share the same account on the forums.
The way the website software is designed, it isn't possible to allow more than one account to share the same email address. most forums are designed in this way.
one of the advantages of using an email address from a third party provider (instead of your internet service provider's email) is that if you change internet providers, i.e. going from DSL to cable, you won't need to hassle with trying to keep your old address.
