Thanks you guys for responding to Dan's call for course marshalls.  that is an easy job and a great way to get involved and pitch in.

I will have three more groups of people needed, but much smaller in size.  The first is for the medical tent, i am looking for maybe 3 or 4 people that have some experience in treating superficial injuries such as scrapes and contusions, and also are experienced at triage and know when someone should actually be going to the hospital.  There will be an ambulance on-site, so they will simply be directed there instead.    

We have all of the necessary supplies from last year, so all you need is to split up into two or three shifts and work at the tent.  There may be a few administrative tasks to do prior to the event, including reviewing the supplies to see if we need to order more.

Second, I will need some helping hands before and after the criterium, setting up and tearing down our race equipment.  Keep this one in mind, I will ask for signups about a week before the race.

I am organizing the shifts for the medical tent.  I will let you know the final assignments in a couple of days.  I am thinking Shift One will begin at 0800 - 1230.  Shift Two 1230 - 5 pm or end of the last race.  If you have a preference of shift just respond here.  If you could respond with your phone number then I can get back to you directly.

 I am available to help and would prefer the AM shift.  As Bob Armey will attest to,  I am pretty useless unless somebody gets their eye poked out but I  could probably be taught how to clean and patch up some  road rash.

Hello First Aid Voluteers!!!

Thank You for your help with the First Aid at the Central Valley Classic this Sunday.  It is only with your help that this race continues to be a success.  I have tried to honor your time requests.  The First Aid station is located between Revue Cafe and The Landmark.  There is a large parking lot at this site.  You will see a tent with tables, cots and supplies.

The First Shift (0800 - 1230) will include Steve Frisby, Donna Wyman and Suzanne (Donna's friend)

The Second Shift (1230 - 5PM...or the end of the Pro Men's Race) will include Chris Clum and Donna Blohm with 2 other volunteers from my work.

I will be there throughout the day also.  You will have a great front row view of this Incredible event!!!   American Ambulance will also be on site for any injuries that require more attention.
